The Future of Urban Light
Expo presentations are an ideal sales channel for nearly any company. The same goes for hess, the leading manufacturer of urban furnishings and exterior lighting. At the Light and Building 2016, hess stood out with a very different presentation that embodied the innovation and inspiration of light. Visitors were invited to view a Stereo 3D expo film that had been created by redPlant in cooperation with imsimity GmbH.
Real Time Movie
The whole film was generated in real time. Interactive visualization allows for extension with new sequences at any time. New Rendering as with classic film is not necessary. Another option is the easy adaptation as a virtual reality application.
Cinema & Popcorn
Hess offered its expo visitors a Stereo 3D cinema, popcorn, and 3D glasses and invited them to enjoy the future of light in a worthy ambiance.

To render the entire city in real time, modelling was done according to the principle: Polygons - As many as necessary, as few as possible.
